Q. What is Thermazone™ Insulation?
A. An encapsulated pocket of still air
supercedes any other method of insulation, including solid-fill
polyurethane foam. Imagine your attic-it is not insulated from floor
to ceiling for this very reason. This type of insulation is known as
barrier insulation, and is perfected in Gulf Coast's proprietary
5-part Thermazone™ insulation.
Gulf Coast's proprietary 5-part Thermazone™ insulation broken down:
-
First - the bottom of each tub is blanketed with a layer of
solid-cell high
density insulating foam.
-
Second - an outer layer of Styrofoam insulation is added.
-
Third - an inner layer of thermal reflective insulation is
wrapped around
the entire cabinet.
-
Fourth - a bottom layer of thermal reflective insulation is
added on the floor.
-
Fifth -
a 5 inch
thick tapered cover with skirt is included.
The Thermazone™ process maximizes heat retention to protect your
energy costs by reflecting heat back into your spa
while
also providing an open pocket still air inside the cabinet if service
is ever needed. Many spa manufacturers utilize full
polyurethane foam insulation, which is not only less effective, but
also makes it difficult to troubleshoot service issues.
